Safe Church Training Recertification (for Laity) - New Haven

Lay Recertification Training is designed for lay ministers who attended a Comprehensive day of basic safe church training three years ago. This training is two and a half-hours long and offers new and updated information. The focus is on the protection of children and youth and prevention of elder abuse. The recertification includes an online course that must be completed prior to attending the live training session.
Please note: You will receive a confirmation email after you have successfully registered. If you have difficulty registering, do not receive a confirmation email, or have any questions about the training contact Deb Kenney at dkenney@episcopalct.org. The instructions to sign up for the online course will be included in the confirmation email.
Registration ends at 11:30 p.m. on September 22, 2019 (1 week before training) or when training is full, whichever comes first.
Check-in the morning of the training is 8:30 AM. Training begins promptly at 9:00 AM

The Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) (aka the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut) is the collective witness and presence of 168 churches and other communities and institutions of the Episcopal Church in places across the state. It is overseen by the Rt. Rev. Jeffrey W. Mello, assisted by the Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens. The common meeting space and offices for the bishops and church-wide staff are at The Commons, 290 Pratt Street, Meriden CT. Multiple staff use eventbrite for event registration.
